Mankind would be in action as well; after the match, Goldust & Marlena left ringside as Taker cleared Austin
from the ring; moments later, Lawler climbed in the ring and told Taker to confront Bearer about costing him

Boy Smith, Savio Vega, Justin Bradshaw (w/ Uncle Zebakiah), Steve Austin, Psycho Sid, Johnson, Marc Mero
(w/ Sable); stipulations stated the winner would challenge the WWF World Champion the day after Summer
Slam; order of elimination: Taker and Mankind by each other (0:09); following the elimination, both men
continued to brawl their way backstage; Smith by Johnson (1:10); Bradshaw by Sid via a backdrop (2:38);
Owen by Mero via a clothesline after Hart pulled himself back into the ring (4:03); Bradshaw eliminated
(during the commercial break); Mero by Goldust via a backdrop (8:41); Savio eliminated himself while hitting
a spin kick in the corner to Goldust (8:59); following the elimination, Taker and Mankind battled from the
crowd, into the ring, and then back into the crowd; minutes later, footage was shown of the fight continuing
backstage, during which Taker hit Mankind with a wooden palette while JJ Dillon, Blackjack Lanza, referees,
and more tried to break up the fight; Sid by Austin after Smith & Hart returned ringside and distracted Sid
from the floor (18:56); Austin by Johnson & Goldust (21:04); Goldust by Johnson when both men collided and
Johnson hooked the ropes with his legs to avoid elimination; during the match, it was noted the Bikini Beach
Blast Off would take place on the Preview Channel before Summer Slam and Marlena, Sable, and Sunny have
been invited to participate; it was noted during the match that Goldust would face Mero at Summer Slam, Sid
would face Smith, Johnson was wrestling the match against doctor's orders after sustaining a ruptured kidney,
and that Michaels would face Owen the following week in a non-title match; following the contest, Vince
McMahon conducted an in-ring interview with Johnson regarding his title shot in two weeks time until Farooq
Asad ran out, with the two brawling until referees and officials could get between them; during the closing
moments of the show, it was implied Johnson would face Farooq at Summer Slam

 Undertaker the previous night at Summer Slam, during which the lights in the arena dimmed; Ross then
discussed Mankind's upcoming match against WWF World Champion Shawn Michaels at In Your House, with
Mankind saying he would pin Michaels and put him out of the WWF; Ross then claimed the lights dimming
was because of Taker, with Bearer claiming Taker had passed away and was gone for eternity; just as he said
that, Taker's gong was sounded and the lights in the arena went out; several druids then carried Taker's body
out to the ring, with Bearer claiming he was behind it and it was only Taker's body, which was being eaten by
worms and maggots; after the druids laid Taker in the aisle, he sat up and had the ringposts spray pyro, with
Mankind & Bearer then escaping into the crowd

Taker's ribs were still hurting from the Royal Rumble; moments later, backstage footage showed Bret and

Entertainment Tonight, who was on hand doing a piece on Sunny; after the bout, Taker hit a chokeslam on
Helmsley, chased the champion up the stairs, and hit the tombstone on the top of the escalator, with Helmsley
going all the way down until he was assisted from the area by referees

Vader defeated the Undertaker in a casket match at 5:09 when Mankind came out of the casket and helped in
double teaming the Undertaker

WWF World Champion Psycho Sid defeated Bret Hart in a steel cage match at 7:40 by escaping over the top
after the Undertaker interfered and slammed the cage door into the challenger's face as Hart attempted to exit
the cage, moments after Steve Austin interfered on behalf of Hart; after the bout, Vince McMahon attempted
to interview Hart in the ring but Hart shoved McMahon to the mat after he made mention of Bret being
frustrated, then responded by saying, "Frustrated isn't the god damn word for it. This is bullshit!"; after a brief
tirade about how the WWF higher-ups were turning a blind eye to all the injustices Hart has sustained in recent
weeks, Steve Austin appeared on the Titantron and said he wanted Bret to win the title but Hart was too much
of a loser to do so; moments later, Psycho Sid came to the ring and he and Hart were about to come to blows
but then the Undertaker appeared and Hart hit a tope through the ropes onto Taker; eventually, Austin came
ringside and began stomping Hart on the outside as Taker and Sid fought in the ring to close the show, with
referees and officials trying to seperate the four men

4:08 in a non-title match when Owen Hart interfered as Taker prepared to hit the tombstone; after the bout,
Steve Austin came to the ring, fought off Owen Hart, then hit the Stunner on the champion; moments later,
Austin sustained the chokeslam from Taker before going after Bret who was at the top of the ramp; as Austin

the Undertaker appeared, helped clear the ring, and then hit a double chokeslam on Hart and Michaels to end

WWF World Champion & WWF Tag Team Champion Steve Austin pinned the Undertaker in a no holds barred match at 23:06 after Austin's tag team partner, Triple H, interfered and hit the challenger in the head with the sledgehammer as Taker attempted the powerbomb on Austin, moments after Austin accidentally hit an interfering Vince McMahon over the head with a steel chair; McMahon did guest commentary for the bout early on and remained ringside for the duration of the match; late in the contest, Taker fought off Triple H's interference and landed several chairshots to both Austin and Triple H; Kane's music and pyro went off during the final seconds of the match and he ran out to the ring in an attempt to break Austin's cover but Triple H held him back, with Austin and Triple H then making a hasty retreat backstage as the show came to a close

WCW Tag Team Champions the Undertaker & Kane (w/ Sara) defeated WWF Tag Team Champions Diamond Dallas Page & WCW US Champion Kanyon in a steel cage match to win the titles at 10:13 when Taker pinned Page with a chokeslam off the top rope and the powerbomb after changing his mind about letting Page leave the cage on the condition he never look at Sara again; Kanyon escaped the cage by going over the top at around the 6-minute mark after Taker told Kane to let him leave; after escaping the cage, Kanyon immediately went backstage; both titles were at stake in the match

WWF & WCW Tag Team Champion the Undertaker fought Steven Richards to a no contest at around the 30-second mark when Richards lured Taker up the ramp, with Taker punching Richards out before becoming distracted by Brian Adams in the aisle, who then kicked over Taker's motorcycle; as Taker began brawling with Adams at ringside, Bryan Clarke attacked Taker from behind; Adams & Clarke continued to assault Taker inside the ring, with Richards directing traffic, before eventually hitting a double chokeslam (Adams' surprise return after a 4-year absence; Clarke's surprise return after a 6-year absence)

Team WWF - WCW World Champion the Rock, Chris Jericho, the Big Show, Kane, & the Undertaker defeated Team Alliance - WWF World Champion Steve Austin, Shane McMahon, Kurt Angle, Booker T, & WWF Hardcore Champion Rob Van Dam in an elimination match at 44:51; Shane pinned the Big Show at 12:42 with an elbow drop off the top after Show suffered the Angle Slam, the scissors kick, and the five star frogsplash; Jericho pinned Shane at 14:31 with the Lionsault after Shane suffered a chokeslam from Kane and the tombstone from the Undertaker; RVD pinned Kane at 18:20 with a kick off the top rope; Angle pinned the Undertaker at 20:03 after Austin hit the Stunner on the Undertaker; Rock pinned Booker T with a roll up at 22:33 after sending Booker into RVD on the apron; Jericho pinned RVD with the Break Down at 24:51 after lifting his knees to block a split-legged moonsault; Rock defeated Angle via submission with the Sharpshooter at 31:53; Austin pinned Jericho at 34:32 with a roll over; after the fall, Jericho hit the Break Down on the Rock and remained ringside until the Undertaker returned to berate him for his actions and sent him backstage; Rock pinned Austin with the Rock Bottom after Angle returned ringside and hit Austin with the WWF world title belt before leaving with the belt; due to pre-match stipulations, the Alliance was forced to disband and all championships that were decided earlier in the night were reverted to WWF titles; all Alliance members aside from title-holders and Test were forced out of the company, only to return in the coming weeks; had the WWF team lost, the WWF would have disbanded
